Management 2000 BenefitsStock & Supplier PerformanceProfit is driven from successful buying. Management 2000 assists the Retailer to determine the successful lines by season, branch and supplier. This assists with next seasons buying. As the season progresses, Management 2000 offers sophisticated tools that enable the Retailer to either re-buy and replenish (if that is possible given seasonal product and long supply lines), or to look at the possibility of canceling or re-negotiating any overdue orders thus reducing costs or improving margins. The order management application is a powerful decision tool with numerous views, which allow the user to analyse outstanding orders and update their delivery date, or cancel them. Because outstanding orders are a potential purchase, it is vital they be managed. If, for example, sales are below budget, it may be necessary to review and cancel one or more orders to avoid overstocking at the season end. This is a difficult procedure if outstanding orders are out of date. We recommend that at the start of each new month, uncompleted orders with an expected delivery date in a prior month should either be cancelled or their expected delivery date changed to a current or future month. This is particularly important when the open to buy application is used, where outstanding orders are shown as a potential purchase in the month they are expected.
